The heartbeat is a single POST request with a bearer token, so anything that can fire outbound HTTPS works. We ship copy-paste snippets for Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, Java, C# / .NET, Bun, Ruby, and curl — and other runtimes work the same way with three lines of equivalent code.

Your bot sends POST /api/bots/<id>/heartbeat with a bearer token at a regular interval. CloudLine’s Durable Object for that bot remembers the last timestamp and runs a per-bot timer. If the next heartbeat doesn’t land within your configured threshold, an alert fires. You don’t expose an HTTPS server — only outbound HTTPS, which every cloud runtime allows by default.

Yes. CloudLine doesn’t inspect what’s sending the heartbeat — Telegram bots, Slack apps, background workers, cron jobs, even plain scripts can use it. We position the product around Discord because the alert flow is tuned for that audience, but the technical surface is runtime-agnostic.

Pingdom, UptimeRobot, and similar tools poll your URL from the outside. CloudLine waits for your bot to push a heartbeat in. This push model catches what external polling can’t see — a stalled event loop, a hung process, a worker that crashed but kept its socket open. Most Discord bots don’t expose an HTTPS server at all, which is why external uptime monitors don’t fit them in the first place.
